It's confession time on the M/TV board! Post your favorite romance and/or "chick flick" movies that you were forced to like, but ended up really enjoying. I'll start:
"About Time"
"Love Actually"
"America's Sweethearts"
"Intolerable Cruelty"
"When Harry Met Sally"
"10 Things I Hate About You"

Not a chick movie. Falls into the 90's highschool genre.

Love Actually is a good one.

I watched most of Dirty Dancing last night. Haven't seen it in a LONG time so I watched it, does that count?

I feel the same way about "Mean Girls" except for the 2000s.

Not sure if it qualifies as a chick movie, but Terms of Endearment is one of my favorite movies.

I left out 80's John Hughes movies as well. I don't really consider 16 Candles, Pretty in Pink, Say Anything, Some Kind Of Wonderful chick flicks.

Does The Long, Hot Summer count?

It has some awesome classic performances from Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, Orson Welles, Angela Lansbury, etc. It's a little sappier and more of a love story than most stuff I have a tendency to watch.

Out of those I've only seen "Love Actually," but I did enjoy it. The wife will probably want me to watch it again with her this Christmas.

But then, it had a murder, and implied lesbianism

Do all chick flicks have to be a rom/com?

Cause this isn't a rom/com.

I like most of the ones listed. "Happy Accidents" is a really good underrated one. 500 Days of Summer and Princess Bride are obvious classics if you want to put them under the chick flick category.
