Birdman was the stupidest movie I've seen. Sure the acting was pretty good but the movie was retarded.

Whiplash on the other hand had better acting better story and a better soundtrack or score or whatever the pretentious Jews call it in Hollywood.

For real I don't get how birdman won anything it was stupid and a pain to watch. I think people only liked it because it was "different" or " unique". It was terrible dont waste your time. But whiplash is one of the best movies I've seen. Watch it.

/end rant

I'll be watching nightcrawler, Budapest and imitation game soon and will give yall another one of my excellent and well thought out reviews

Your opinion, bro. I respect it, despite thinking you might be mildly retarded. Whiplash was incredible, though.

I actually considered seeing Birdman, but hadn't even heard of Whiplash until the Oscars approached. Apparently it's about some kid who's a drummer. Yeah, that sounds boring as hell.

Whiplash was fricking fantastic to me. Favorite movie of the year

If I would have not watched every movie that I assumed was boring I would have missed out on some of my favorite movies. Disclaimer, haven't seen Whiplash.

Not saying it can't be good, just that what I saw of the concept behind the film didn't excite me.

I agree lol. Thought Budapest was the best of all but I'm a huge Wes Anderson fan so I'm biased

I liked Birdman. Not a great movie, but definitely unique and good acting. Not much action but there were some really good parts, like the underwear scene and how you never know if he's actually Birdman or insane. I do agree the movie was geared toward the oscar audience and winning awards, not being seen as a hit with the general public

I just finished watching Whiplash.

Phenomenal movie, incredibly well made from the acting to the editing.

Simmons killed it.

Fantastic film.

How? The concept of the movie was great. The way it was shot was incredible. It was definitely one of my top 5 movies of the past year

You just dropped a hard "J"

And while I agree with you on whiplash (was my fav of they year) I don't have a problem with Birdman winning. Even though it's one of my least fav of his films.

I do however have a problem with Selma, american sniper And boyhood being nominated in the first place. So, I'm just happy it was Birdman that won.

Whiplash is by far the best fricking movie of the year. There are no other options to choose IMO, and I have seen all the nominated best movies of the year with the exemption of Selma. Birdman was decent, but it wasn't the best movie of the year and I think some people give it too much credit.
