It’s based about the Baton Rouge murder of Burt Templet by his 17 year old son Anthony. I just started it this afternoon, and it’s really good.

I recommend if for anyone in to true crime Docs.

Finished it this afternoon. I thought it was really well done. You never know what’s going on behind someone’s door. I’m glad the state took it easy on him, the evidence clearly showed of emotional abuse.

I laughed out loud a bunch watching that Chalmation try to stomp around and act serious. "If we get a guilty verdict, I'm gonna take my shirt off and fight the jury, padnuh".

While there's no doubt Burt was a piece of shite, would Anthony really have been better off with his birth mother? He would have had a rough childhood either way. I hope he takes something positive from this and does something great with his life.

I think living as a poor degenerate would have been a MUCH more desirable upbringing than being held hostage in your house by a drunk, verbally abusive father that doesn't give af about you.

Also the kid has no education and no social skills. WTF is he supposed to do with his life?

My wife and I had a lot of questions about the Stepmom and her son.

I mean...they lived with him since he was really young and the kid never went to school or basically leave the house. He was clearly extremely stunted in his emotional and educational development.

Seemed odd that the stepmother was just accepting of it.

Seemed to me like Burt just knew how to find himself a dumb woman to be honest. Never underestimate just how dumb some people are. The stepson actually didn't seem like an idiot, but he was younger at the time and probably didn't understand the situation.

It seems a lot like the parents from kidnapped in plain sight.

I think the stepmom had a good situation for her and her kid so she made sure to mind her Ps and Qs so she didn't mess it up.

My first thought when he was going on about his bar fights and the way of Baton Rouge was, "This dude absolutely posts on the OT."

The mother in law was something else.

She was talking about domestic abuse so flippantly. tough old Texas broad I guess.
