Go back to the watch thread. I think you'll find my opinion on the episode to be rather consistent.

But you should watch something calming and uplifting for the next few days to decompress. I was thinking some old episodes of Bob Ross painting happy little trees.

I just finished last season. Without the post game After The Thrones I'd be hopelessly lost. I think I get maybe 25 % of the the relationships down at best. I know, I suck...

I don't know why more people didn't do that. I got accused of being a book reader a couple times because I could keep track of what was happening I was just using google and whatever was on the HBO Go site.

Yeah I never saw any spoilers when I would just search the image. Took 2 seconds and helped me piece together who the major players were.

S4 & S6 are my personal favorite seasons so far in the series. Battle of the Bastards & The Winds of Winter are the two best back to back episodes of any series that I've ever seen.

Yeah, if you don't like Bob Ross, something is wrong with you.

Its a pure battle, but I think D&D learned from it. Hardhome and the Battle of the Bastards are infinitely superior to it. There is so much fricking filler in it and its not that entertaining. Really, aside from Ygritte's death, what do you remember about it? Now talk to me about Blackwater. It's all memorable. Yes, it looks cool, but its not in the top half. If you remove the action, its one of the worst episodes of the series. None of the other battle episodes I can say the same for.

A big problem with WOTW is it's easily the least suspenseful battle. You know the wildlings aren't taking castle black there.

The WOTW was awesome IMO. Whoever the director was did a fantastic job. For anyone that has trouble understanding all the names and plots watch Ozzyman reviews on YouTube he does a great job with themes and he's hilarious.

Miguel Sapochnik.

Sadly he's not directing any S7 episodes but there are murmurings that he's going to direct a lot of S8.
