How much does Harvey Weinstein damage Damon, Affleck, Tarantino, etc

These guys are essentially all Miramax darlings and owe much of their careers to the Weinsteins for distributing and facilitating their movies.
Seems these guys are going to take some fire here and get tons of points d questions for a long time. Every press tour they do for the next couple of years will be all Weinstein stuff.
Edit: Weinstein audio from NYPD sting operation. He just wants her to watch him shower.... LINK

As long as nothing comes out on them they're fine. If it it comes out that they were using the same tactics they are in trouble.

If they aren’t stupid like Donna Karan or weren’t enablers or weren’t engaged in similar activities? Should be fine. Too many years and they are too big.
But if Tarantino said something like “she dressed like a whore so I had no choice but to jerk off into a potted plant”! He’s done.

Didn't some of the NYT stuff show that Matt Damon and Russell Crowe try to bury a similar story 10 years ago?

I don't think that it was the Times, but a journalist has said that she had the dirt on Weinstein a decade ago, but there was pressure from Weinstein's company to bury it (since they were a major advertiser). She also says that Damon and Crowe contacted the publication to give their support to killing the Weinstein story.

Wow. I feel dirty after listening to that audio.
How desperate is that dude?

It wouldn't shock me.

It was the NYT that killed the story according to the reporter. I don't even really care that much about this in compairison to the child molesters in Hollywood. It makes it hard for me to watch a movie with a child actor knowing there is a decent chance they are being abused on one way or another.

Miramax
It's all stained now - the entire Miramax legacy has a huge black cloud over it.
Shame, because from an artistic merit standpoint, there are lots of admirable movies in that catalogue.

What about jay, Randall, or Elias

Tarantino is pretty much untouchable like Woody Allen or Roman Polanski. I doubt he did anything wrong, but he’s a god in Hollywood

He's been pretty public with his outbursts. I don't see him as a "hidden evil" sort of guy. He wears his personality faults like a necktie.

that audio is creepy as frick.

Tarantino is out there with his act.... whether it's the foot fetish he carries over to the actors or crew, his late nights at the Saint coked up hitting on young women or the crew doing shots between takes on set. He is creepy, but seemingly harmless. A rich film geek living out a fantasy.
Harvey is obviously a predator.

If Weinstein was Tarantino's big break...then definitely...
Tarantino definitely got on his knees.
You don't go from working at a video store to making Hollywood movies with total control as fast as jack unless your mouth became a Hollywood mogul storage.

No more than it hurts the rest of Hollywood who obviously knew this was happening.
It seems to me that plenty of people knew this was going on and didn't do a god damn thing.

luck is when preparation meets opportunity, and QT was lucky as shite
he had already sold scripts and was not some unknown guy when his break came
the opportunity was the "indie craze" of the 90s. it din't take much to get in on the wave. he produced quality, consumable product immediately. pulp fiction's budget was south of $10M so it's not like there was a huge investment. once he did pulp fiction he was royalty, especially with his personality
robert rodriguez went from El Mariachi to a movie with a nearly $20M production budget and A-list actors. he had a much more meteoric rise WITHOUT a timeless, super duper hit like QT
