How good is The Expanse? ETA: Just finished it. I recommend it, too.

Very good seasons 1-3. Okay season 4. Brick wall at 5 and couldn't even muscle through that to get to 6.

I could never get into it even though I hear good things about it. I know there are aliens in it but they dont arrive till the last season I think?

Worth the watch.
I would say the first three seasons are as good sci-fi as you will ever see.
The last season levels off for a couple of different reasons, but it isn’t anywhere near as a massive drop off as Game of Thrones.

Season 3 GOAT
S2 very good
S1 s4 pretty good
S5 and s6 noticeable drop off but watchable
Overall: should watch if you like space sci fi

What’s up with posters recently asking about The Expanse? It’s a good series, great if you’re a sci-fi geek. I’m pretty sure it has a cult following. The series has the best collection of female characters I’ve ever seen in a series or film.

It’s my first rewatch and even better the second time around. S5/S6 do have a dropoff, but it’s mostly because of the story focus. It’s still really good.

That and the Man kn the High Castle were my 2 favorite binge series. The Expanse is addictive. First 3 episodes drag. Then it gets good. Then seasons way in you start to hate them all. Then you’ll like them. Ending kinda was abrupt. Great show!

This is one I've gone back and forth on whether I should watch it or not. I love sci-fi and have heard great things about it, but also heard it's so expansive (no pun intended) and vast that it's a bit confusing and hard to follow at times.

I really liked it, but man, they left so many questions unanswered.
The "dog" creatures that can bring things back to life, the Martian admiral telling Inaros he had "Gods to kill" and other things.

Think Ellen Ripley, Sarah Connor, then add 4 or 5 more nearly as good.
That's the Expanse. Between Bobbie, Camina and Chrisjen, I can't decide which I like more. Each has incredible powerful, funny lines.
And I liked Naomi early on more than later, but damn, she does have her moments.
