I'm on season 2 of Deadwood after watching most or all seasons of both Justified and Sons of Anarchy. Really adds to the experience, seeing all these shared actors.

Deadwood is easily one of the best shows I have ever watched. I don't think I'll ever get tired of watching Olyphant play a troubled lawman.

see, i'm the opposite. I love him as Raylan, but I didn't really care for his character in Deadwood

I couldn't get into Deadwood either. But, I firmly believe Justified is one of the top 8 shows on television right now.

I think the chemistry between Raylan and Boyd is the best on tv.

I agree, when they're together, it makes for good viewing. Its just that the time they share a scene is so limited.

It is excellent if you like the U.S. Marshall type/genre. The setting is backwoods Kentucky police work involving drugs and a lot of interesting characters. Tim Olyphant is da man and Walton Goggins is an equally good antagonist with a twist of friendship/rivalry between the two. Show has some hot womenz as well. Enjoy.

I'm halfway through season 1 of Justified and it has yet to grab me like Deadwood did from jump. The dialogue in Deadwood is some of the best ever.

Bullock's character changed for the worse when Anna Gunn's shitty character came to town.

Although any scene he was in with Swearengen was money. The GOAT.

I could listen to Raylan and Boyd discuss women's paraplegic basketball for 2 straight days.

That's how good their dialogue is.

I enjoyed the first couple of seasons, but got tired of it after that. Boyd Crowder is a great character though. If you've got time to kill, it's worth watching but IMO it's on down the list of those kinds of shows (wire, sopranos, breaking bad, BWE, GOT, etc...)

Of the one's on non-premium cable. it's top two for me: breaking bad & Justified. With BB being done, it's the best thing I've found without subscribing to HBO or Showtime.

Better than boardwalk empire IMO, Boyd Crowder is better than any BE character, not to mention the backwoods Kentucky setting is pretty unique and different. Mobster has been done before

There is plenty of cheese and anyone saying otherwise is lying but a little cheese mixed with action and an entertaining cast makes for a good show.

oh absolutely

it's got a lot more energy than BWE, for better or worse. it's a lot more entertaining as you watch

it's peaks > BWE's peaks, and it's valleys are worse than BWE's valleys

Behind GoT and BrBa, it's been my favorite show over the last few years.

Eta: Raylan's awesome...the villains are really good, especially season two...amazing dialogue...Boyd Crowder is the best character on TV since Ari Gold.
