How do you Batman fans feel about this 'Killing Joke' storyline addition?

I do love that a guy on the Batman panel called a fan a 'pussy'

I don't like it.

Not saying it makes the movie bad or anything.

It's dumb, forced and creepy. It's a sign of the larger problem at DC.

*lol at the pussy serial downvoting me.

I wasn't really a fan of it. The second half of the movie is good, but I feel like Killing Joke worked better as a comic.

Meh, it was one of the first DC animated movies I thought was sub par. They usually do those pretty well.

It's an indication that Timm no longer gets Batman and "the family". The fact that they believe Batgirl has to be fricked by Batman for people to care about her is a gross insinuation.

To be honest, I am a DCAU loyalist first over the comics. So I'm fine with the change. This is implied to have happened there, so I can make due with it. I won't let Barbara and Bruce fricking ruin the movie for me.

Does he carry Bat-condoms in the utility belt? Or does Batgirl have Bat-Plan B at the ready?

Dude, Timm did this back in the 90s. It's very much implied they had a romantic relationship in Batman Beyond. I don't see why this is him "not getting Batman".

Yea, I thought that was completely unnecessary. But I don't necessarily see it as a problem going forward. I think they just wanted her fate to seem more impactful. I also think they wanted to push an unnecessary R rating. This movie was not a success, IMO. But I don't think it's a problem going forward. One bad movie is not the end of the world.

Bruce having a sexual relationship with Barbara definitely strikes a nerve with me. I hated when Timm pulled that crap in Batman Beyond, and that is when they are a lot older, and not as inappropriate. But he is her instructor/mentor and a father figure to her. Why even risk hurting the movie with pissing of the comic fans?

Yeah, dc does better with their video animation.

Unexpectedly enjoyed the flash paradox recently

Watched the movie last night, and I thought it was 75 minutes of pure boredom. The comic isnt one of my favorite Batman storylines, but the movie was a complete bore.

A stupid idea is a stupid idea, regardless of time period.

I saw this in San Diego at comicon friday night.

The addition was fine, and added to the story.

The Killing Joke part wasn't as good as I thought it would be however.

The actors were fine, but I just don't think the story worked as a animated movie.
