I thought season 3 and parts of season 4 were average but season 5 was really good. The last few episodes of season 5 really brought the show back to it's roots.

Honestly, you've probably already wasted too much time. I don't get the love/hype for this show. It's just so over the top, it's dumb. Your time is better spent watching The West Wing if you want a political drama.

I thought S1&2 and were great, season 3 was not near as good, and season 4 the show seemed to find some of its magic again. Excited for season 5

Season 3 was not as good as the first 2, but still good.

this is how I felt. Season 3 wasn't the best of the seasons, but it wasn't nearly as bad as how some make it out to be on this board IMO.

I quit watching after the bullshite water tower nuisance suit

What? Wasn't that like the 2nd or 3rd episode in season 1?

You kept on watching if you got to the murdering part.

eta: Undoubtedly there are parts that are over the top and more unrealistic. But, I should mention that apparently the residents of DC have voted several times that House of Cards most accurately reflects Washington DC.

Which is interesting because the few people that I know here that are actually from here often try to promote the other things going on in the city besides politics.

As a born born of Gaffney, I agree.

SPOILERS****

You know, they use a number of colleges in the series. And I remember them both saying Clemson a number of times. I find that interesting because what is clearly meant to The Citadel (SC's military college located in Charleston) is referred to as The Sentinel.

Now, it's a public school so I don't know if they necessarily need permission to use the name. But my guess was once The Citadel found out that two of its cadets in the show were gay with one another they gave a big no-no to using their name.

Again, I personally don't care if someone is or is not gay. But The Citadel is a small military school in South Carolina... so it can be pretty damn conservative.

Stick with it... like people said, it starts to trend downward in season 3, but House Of Cards in a down season is still better than most TV out there.

This here.

I've watched through the episode where Frank goes down on Zoe while she's on the phone with her dad.
