Hey guys,

I'm trying to figure out who this particular guy is.

I'm only aware of him from two places.

1) He hosted a short run weird history TV show that reaired on maybe Travel Channel (maybe even actually History Channel).

The show dealt with creepy things people did in the past. Like unlawful experiments, or guys who used X-ray machines on people before we knew they would cause cancer, performing operations on the brain to split the halves to stop seizures, a scientist who recorded his own death ODing on cocaine or something, etc. Played spooky music in the intro with this guy walking around, and he narrated the stories.

2) There is a poster who uses this actor/host as his avatar but can't recall the poster. Picture is the guy just posing with no expression on his face. It seems like this guy probably does a lot of horror/paranormal related stuff in some capacity.

It is driving me crazy. I've googled all types of random stuff and searched threads for the poster but no luck.

Thanks, I might have autism or something

Not Robert Stack.

It is really driving me nuts

The strange history show may have only had 15 episodes or something but was really interesting in my opinion, but considering a poster used him as a avatar he has to have other work.

I would have done a google image search on the guy if I could find the poster who used it.

Never watched "Fringe"???

He is, and always will be, Dr. Walter Bishop.

Bust out the Netflix and start binging "Fringe".

His character is iconic.

I just looked him up on IMDB. I haven't seen the shows he was in that were listed here and I didn't recognize him in the images with short hair, but his face looked familiar. He was Denethor (the Steward of Gondor) in Lord of the Rings.

Blew my mind when I watched Return of the King after I had seen Fringe and realized he is also Denethor

That is a pretty good transformation.

I'll probably get to Fringe eventually. My wife watches a lot of TV but sci fi can be tough. However, Josh Jackson might lure her in.

I have to finish Cheers first. I'm in Season 6 when Kirstie Alley was skinny. I can crush a lot of shows by myself since I work from home.

He also played a seriously creepy character in Sleepy Hollow. One of the few bright spots in that show

Fringe was a lot of fun. If you can get through the first season, then it has a great story arc in the later seasons. The first season was much more "monster of the week" type episodes, which I still enjoyed, but it can make it hard for some people to keep going.
