Hell or High Water is the best movie I've seen all year

caught a screening last week and was blown away by how much I enjoyed a 'Western,' if you will.
I'm not some movie whiz, expert viewer or reviewer even, but I think I know when I saw a great movie.
Top notch performances by the brothers in the movie, Chris Pine and especially the Foster dude. I've always liked Pine and am glad to see him in roles other than Cap Kirk, which suits him perfectly.
I just looked on RT and it's sitting at 100% with like 30 reviews or so.
It won't make a ton of money bc of the genre and players involved, but it should be seen by most of this board. you'll enjoy it.

I thought the preview looked really good.
The only part that I didn't like was Bridge's accent.

i've really gotten to like Pine. kinda hated him when he came on the scene, but he's grown on me.
on a side note of him, i saw he was in the new wonder woman. no big deal. then i watched BvS with my kids this weekend and actually picked up that he was in the WW2 photograph with wonder woman. did i miss that it was noticed as an easter egg back when it came out?

Definitely gonna check out this movie. Can't wait till more of these types start hitting theaters in the coming months

Maybe you're right. I used to avoid films with Leo or Pitt (at least in the lead).

Looks awesome but I agree Bridges accent looks unbearable
Has kind of a no country feel to it. Scenery looks similar too and both take place in west TX

Caught this early a few weeks ago and loved it. Thought it was going to be good but exceeded all expectations. A great modern western. All 4 of the leads were very good.
