Really sad. Animal Control were some of my favorite minor characters on that show. Dude was hilarious.
He did a lot more but I know him most from Parks and Rec

Harris Wittels, one of the executive producers of "Parks and Recreation" died at his home Thursday from a possible drug overdose ... TMZ has learned.
According to law enforcement sources ... Wittels was pronounced dead around 1 PM. We're told the 30-year-old was found lying on his couch ... and there was drug paraphernalia in the house. There were no signs of trauma to his body.

I didn't realize he was a producer until I read about this happening.
Sounds like he was quite successful at a young age.....damn shame.

Yeah man. Only 30 years old. Addiction sucks

Dude has serious addiction issues. It was only a matter of time...
He spoke in depth about his opiate addiction issues on his last appearance on Pete Holmes' podcast, and it was pretty clear that he was going to let it take his life over sooner or later.

Yeah he already had a couple of stints in rehab. Never could get it under control which sucks.

The introduction of them on the Fairway Frank episode was great.
"dude how you know my name?"

I read in reddit that his last live show was just yesterday (maybe Wednesday). He apparently talked about how he had been struggling with addiction but ad been sober for a while. Died later than night from OD

Apparently he coined the phrase "humblebrag" per NPR.

Yeah he had a twitter feed and a book about it but by the time he went on WTF with Marc Maron, he hated the phrase.

Isn't that how it usually goes?
Hard core addict is clean for a while but relapses and tries to do as much as they did before they quit and their body just can't handle it because of how low the tolerance has gotten? Sucks.

I really recommend the You Made it Weird episode he was on where he discusses sobriety and says he is afraid that next time he uses he could die.

Aziz on Harris. Worth the read. I lost it at the Chris Pontitus part.
And the Chili's in Encino part.
