SIAP I searched and didn't see anything pop up.
I watched the Dark Knight earlier and it got me thinking about the best movie scores out there. Some movie scores are so great that I get pumped up in my seat in the theater when I hear them. Obviously that's the point. But still I'm blown away by how talented these people are that they can illicit that kind of a response with music alone.
The classics that I can think of off the top of my head are:
Star Wars
Indiana Jones
Back to the Future
The Lord of the Rings
The Dark Knight (for me at least)
Jurassic Park
Selfishly I would also add Inception and Pirates of the Caribbean for good measure.
I'm sure that I'm missing a couple of obvious ones. What say you?

That's a great one. I actually own that one so I'm a little disappointed that I didn't think of it.
Another that I thought of that is pretty good is Independence Day.

Miyazaki films have great music: Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle just to name a few.

I'm a fan of Clint Mansell.
Last of the Mohicans is the first thought that comes to mind when I think of great movie scores.

Jaws easily. The score/ theme is arguably more terrifying than the monster itself. You'd be hard pressed to find another piece of music from film that has left such a mark on our collective imagination.

Danny Elfman's BATMAN. Which track? All of them.
Underrated: Signs, The Rocketeer, Shawshank, Pacific Rim.

I'm a big fan of James Horner. Apollo 13 is probably my favorite score of his.
