That's awesome news. And I'm calling it now on who he's playing: Maester Marwyn

Seems too old for Howlamd Reed.

Marwyn makes sense.

My first thought. Guy just looks like a Maester.

So is Gendry going to be the tease of a possible Arya redemption arc? If he really is back this season, then I could see him, Mel, and Arya all converging with the Hound and the Brotherhood. And if that happens, then Gendry will probably be the one that tries to bring Arya back from turning into a ruthless, emotionless killer.

That would be awesome .

As for Jorah, where does he go at this point? The Citadel to see if they can heal his greyscale?

Haven't thought about it, but since I doubt we see Essos again (maybe with the exception of Pentos) this might be a way to put Jorah back in. Everyone who saw him exiled is now dead and I doubt anyone is going to give him the time of day.

I don't see why Gendry would be at the Citadel though.

Could've been hired in as a blacksmith just about anywhere I'd imagine. They need them in at the Citadel as well.

The blacksmith plot device could pretty well put him anywhere honestly.

The storylines this season are hard to predict IMO. Even last season you could tell where certain characters were heading...whereas S7 seems to be unpredictable.

Arya redemption arc?
Redemption for what? She's done nothing but get revenge on people who've wronged her, and the waif who tried to kill her.

Since they aren't doing the Rorge and Biter book storyline, with the children, etc., I agree that he's with Beric and the BwB.

emotionless killer.
Not how I'd describe her.

They're probably just going to show him endlessly paddling around Dragonstone. Davos told him to stick to the coast, after all, and it's an island, so he's likely still out there.

I had no idea David Benioff is married to Amanda Peet.

Redemption was probably the wrong word, but I think they may play on the idea of her turning more and more either emotionless, or maybe even gaining a bloodlust of sorts. And Gendry (or maybe even the Hound) may try to convince her to put down her list, and go back to Winterfell and her family.

Now I don't think she'll listen, or at least won't listen until something dramatic happens as a result of she revenge. But I could see them going down the route of her struggle to fully turn back into Arya Stark.

I'll be pissed if he's still rowing.
