Well I'd have to think the budget is the same if not more for the last 2 seasons. The show is more popular than ever.
If all the episodes could be 70 minutes I would love it.
I just wish Sapocheck (sp?) could direct all of them. I'm pretty sure I've watched 9 and 10 five or six times

That's who I'm thinking. Would make sense. (though if it is I wish they would have dropped a Mel prophecy about riding a dying horse or however that went). Not sure who the boy would be though. (I don't think they would try to match her up with a 10 year old wilding - even if he was a son of Tormond or something and thus obviously a bad arse).

Well, Bran can certainly be a leading cast member but even if he interacted with the character in the flashback, that would still be only one leading cast member and they used the plural. Besides, we've already had two Lyannas - one a bit younger and the one in the TOJ. I'm not sure if they would try to do a flashback using one of an in between age.

Based upon the casting descriptions we saw last August-September (summarized here) for roles that ended up being Euron Greyjoy, Khal Moro & his bloodriders, Smalljon Umber, young Ned Stark & young Hodor (amongst others), we should get some similar clues in the next few weeks & months. I don't expect there will be many cast additions this season at all (Dan said something to the effect of "We are really just trying to work with the pieces we already have"). The only major figure - and it may not be a role with much screen time - would be Rhaegar. I'll be interested to see if they cast a notable or semi-notable actor for the role (along the lines of Ian McShane's one-episode run) or go with a relative unknown (Tower of Joy actors).

When they said winter is coming in expecting an October release date for season 7 or a one year break to put it back in the slot it was in.
