After knowing what I know now, I definitely couldn't wait 6 months. I'm probably going to cave and go see it again. It's that good.

I'm going to have to read the book now. I'm interested to see how the story is written. It felt perfect for a movie.
The movie follows the book as closely as any I can remember. Thanks, I'm sure, to Gillian Flynn writing the script. You'll enjoy the book.

Seeing a movie with a girl you aren't dating is always a bad idea. You always see people you know at the movies. And they gossip because that what human beings do.

Is that your observation or a line from the movie?

Ok, girlfriend wants to see a movie tonight. This has my vote but she will not see anything scary at all...

her idea of scary: crazy psycho killers, aliens, lots of violence, etc.

thoughts?

It's not littered with violence but there is one extremely graphic scene. If she can handle one brief scene of quick gore, she should be alright. I think that the rest of the movie is so interesting, she won't mind putting up with one graphic scene.

Plus: Affcock.

Your girl is going to hate this movie. It's going to freak her the hell out.

Well, it could lead to a very lucky night for you, or it could result in a very unlucky future. Such is the risk you take.

This is nothing. Gone Girl is the kind of movie that gives your whole body chills. Lone Survivor is a joke. My sister loved Lone Survivor, and she made me fast forward through parts of Django. You girl is gonna be gone. I don't know why the other guy gave you the go ahead.

excellent film, just got back home from seeing it. casting was spot on, especially the female detective.

the Desi murder scene was fricking weird, but the rest of the movie was so good. perfect amount of deadpan humor added in.

Yep. A giant, sinister smile.

Going to see it again tomorrow.
