Jon since he's not a bastard and his father was king

Rhaegar’s legitimate son (Jon) would have a better claim than Rhaegar’s sister (Dany).

Jon has a stronger claim because he's the son of the king and only male heir

Jon is. Women aren't heirs to shite unless all other options are out. Dany truly thinks she's the lone remaining Targ.

It is splitting hairs but Rhaegar was never king. He died before the mad king.

Thinking more...

Where the frick has euron disappeared to? Wonder if we get anything there? Probably something in the last episode of the season? I'd imagine next week is 99% north of the wall.

That doesn't matter. His oldest male child would still be the heir to the throne.

I was pretty excited about Gilly's statement. As usual I was the only one in the room that got it, and as usual you guys caught it also. That was a pretty big revelation.

An example from English history:

George III's father died while George II, his grandfather, was still on the throne. George III still was the heir apparent due to his father being the eldest son of George II.

I'm not a book reader.

Jon's dad wasn't a king.

What I been saying. People think some stupid scroll Gilley read is the biggest reveal of the season. But in truth it doesn't make one iota of difference either way. Jon is a true son of Rhaegar and of a Stark. Marriage would have no play in that if he is the last remaining male Dragon. He is the rightful heir if Dany's army wins the game and assuming his true identity is revealed. But truth is he wants to be king in the north and could give 2 shits about KL.

Am I the only one that thinks Jaime is about to turn? Not sure if it was discussed earlier in the thread. I didn't go back that far.

When Cersei told him to "never betray her again," that was it. He knows the war is lost. He knows that Cersei has lost her damn mind.

Nope, but Cersei laid the "baby bomb" on him...and that should keep him dangling...but I'm guessing she slips up somehow and he finds out she's lying about it and it pretty much ends his thing with her and from that he makes the full turn against her.

I accidentally went to book thread and all I saw was jumping the shark and I'm done, blah blah

Get your stick out of your arse. That was a badass episode.

Gendry is the rightful heir. He is the former King's son. Cersei took the throne based off of her marriage to Robert and a huge show of force. There are still many lords and houses that would switch, if given a choice and Gendry was able to build a big enough army to support his claim (Littlefinger and Varys might find him to be saner choice than Danny). Jon has no desire to rule and might not even publicize his true birthright. Plus what happens when Danny realizes who Gendry is? Will she try to kill him? I just think it's too obvious for Jon or Dannys to be the King/Queen at the end..

A bastard has no claim to the line of succession. Gendry's just a guy with a hammer who is accompanying Jon Snow north of the wall.
