Other than the wall that's the safest place to be for them. Minus the vale of course. Either way my guess is their recruitment process will be go to house Mormont, get their army to march to the next house to recruit, they see house Mormont with the wildlings and they march to the next house and repeat the process.

I think you leave the wildlings at home so to speak. First northern lords may not be reassured by seeing your Wildling horde (for example the Umbers). Second the wildlings may not be civilized enough yet to bring them calling to major settlements in the north.

Tormund did say on the previews to the other wildlings that Jon died for them and they should be willing to do the same for him.

Would be funny if Ramsey actually went through with his pink letter threats and came with an army to the wall while JON is crootin and then BOOM white walkers come over the wall and slaughter the Boltons

Apparently some fan won a dinner with George Martin and asked if Stoneheart would ever appear on HBO

quote:

The Italian then asked George if Lady Stoneheart was going to appear on the show. George said no, that she’d been cut. He said if he were involved in the show things would be different, but he’s busy trying to finish books.

Oh I think that is correct. I'm just not sure you take them on the recruiting tour. I think you have them chill up by the wall and do Wildling things until you round up the rest of your army, then have them link up for the battle.

I just don't see northern lords and 2000 wildlings just sitting down to have tea together until it is fighting time.

I think Kevan is in league with the High Sparrow.

Anyway they certainly are dropping enough hints about the Mountain/Robert Strong and trial by combat that Cleganebowl has become the best narrative payoff for that storyline.

They seem to have firm answer over at Watchers on the Wall

(I've deleted actual info and just put the link cause I don't know if they got the info from spoilers or just speculation).

Someone tell the guy that just posted spoilers that that's NOT what I was asking for. Don't want to scroll down and see them. Get out with that

It doesn't make sense why the HS would target a knight who by all accounts is dead besides some vague hints that he is possibly alive living as a monk on the quiet isle. Wouldnt it make sense fo the sparrow to take down someone in power close to him. That's his MO, but you guys dont like logic.

For all the crackpotters on here, our fearless leader actually got to have a dinner with GRRM himself and apparently it went about as expected. Most of his answers were slightly veiled "you've obviously thought about this much more than I have".

Check out the latest Preston Jacobs YouTube, it's worth the listen just to hear the disappointment his voice.

First, he's a giant cloaked man very near the place of the Hound's "death" in the near vicinity of the Hound's prized horse. Not sure how vague that is. Secondly, it doesn't make sense that the High Sparrow is looking for a champion to fight the 8 foot tall monster that Cersei is sure to choose as her own champion? I'm doubting his plan is to send Lancel out there with his robe and a club. Solid logic there.

Sure, but why Kevan? He is firmly against Cersei and her evil ways, he isn't a fan of Jaime, and he has his son which gives him leverage. It could be Kevan, but recruiting him is almost not worth mentioning.
