I'm sorry your betrothed actually isn't fireproof. I guess you'll have to make some mild adjustments to your kinky roleplay sex fantasies now, huh?

Ok can we talk about the Sheira Seastar thing for a minute? I'm not buying that theory. Anybody else think Mel is Sheira or her daughter?

That's probably a little crackpotty - even assuming that thread still exists.

Shiera Seastar

A friend of mine recently did a podcast on that topic. Its a little long but has a lot of good info.

The theory is interesting - it would make her the Bloodraven's (Three-eyed Crow) daughter/niece (or sister/lover). Those wacky Targs with their relatively forkless family trees.

I haven't done much exploration of source material beyond the novels. Apparently Sheira Seaster is described in very similar ways to Mel, with the only exception that Mel's height is specifically mentioned (taller than most knights - so, slender, but otherwise tall like Brienne).

I was hoping he is Jaqeen Hagar.
If he is the waif my mind will be blown.

I do think Syrio is alive though. Though Kingsguard claimed he was killed.

The similarities may just be both are Bravosi fighters.

So a lot of people seem to think the events in Dorne in the premier was the show runners way of trying to just do away with that story line. Is anybody else not that optimistic? It seems the reason they killed Doran is that he isn't doing anything. That makes me think they are going to try and do something, which would unfortunately mean we have to watch it.

yeah the Darkfire thing is totally out the window. It upsets me being spoiled by the show and I hope that GRRM goes in a different direction and then we can say.

Dorne is now more unwatchable than Dany in Mereen.

THAT'S how bad it has gotten. Quickly. I just posted in disgruntlement thread that, at this point, someone new to the material would get a recommendation from me to either watch OR read, but not both.

That's how bad the show has failed already this season. I'm not giving up (because that's not who or what I am), but I understand folks who do/have done so. Based on Dorne alone, it is justified.
