I now wish Edd had stabbed Jon.

But what about Jon's hand being burned when he smashed the lantern onto the white walker? That is why i don't buy the being born again from the flames. He has already been shown to be harmed by fire.

That was before he died.

I've been thinking about that, too. I think he had to die at the wall for the magic to happen with him. Just as I think the magic from the witch had to happen to trigger Dany's "birth" as the dragon.

And if it isn't dying at the wall, then Melisandre's intervention must be what does it. It is a song of "ice" and "fire." The imagery hits you over the head. The Lord of Light's realm is fire. They need fire (Dany, Dragons) to defeat these things. But, they also need ice (or Snow).

It is known.

I know it's not related to Ep2. But It's an ep1 review by Preston Jacobs. Nice to hear him blast Dorne plot.

I really enjoy his "What You Are Missing" videos. Since I haven't read the books it is a nice way to be (semi) caught up with what is going on in the books

In the most dynamic image of the bunch, Arya throws down but good. This is likely another shot of her fighting the Waif. I’m not sure if her aim will be any better than it was in the first episode, but at least she’s putting her heart into it.

quote:

We get more character profile shots. Here, Yara Greyjoy stands in what looks like her father’s hall. She doesn’t look super-duper pleased. Also, I suppose we’re not going to see any of her return journey from the Dreadfort. It has been a while since her unsuccessful raid on the place back in Season 4.

quote:

Max von Sydow as the Three-Eyed Raven. He appears to be in the same courtyard that we saw Bran in yesterday. They’re probably taking a vision walk together. I’m really looking forward to these scenes!

quote:

And now, a new character. This is actor Paul Rattray as Harald Kastark, the new head of House Karstark. You’ll remember that Robb beheaded his father, Rickard Karstark, back in Season 3. In what context will we meet him? That is the question.

I guarantee she will beat the Waif, perhaps not in E2. But, it is known.

Looks like Yara is staring at Euron sitting in Balon's chair.

If there isn't a cat in that alley when she finally beats the waif, I'll be kind of pissed.

I already hate that Karstark guy just from that photo. And the fact that he's a Karstark of course.

They've touched on that, especially when Stannis went to the Iron Bank to ask for money.
