I've always interpreted the Doom as being due to increased volcanic activity in the region. What caused that increase is the question.

Sounds about right. Although I could also see them having Jamie sacrifice himself for his daughter. Heck, neither of them could make it out alive when all is said and done with the Dorne storyline.

I have a feeling LF will be the one ratting her out. The previews show the Sparrows cornering LF in this episode, so he may throw Cersei under the bus to save his own skin.

But with that said, I'd love to see The Queen of Thorns be the one to out Cersei. She is one cunning old lady.

Why not Sansa instead of Manderly? The Sansa Stark of Game of Thrones Season 5 is a different character than she has ever been in previous seasons of Game of Thrones. Her time with Littlefinger has made her canny and cynical. For the first time she might just have the guile to take her own revenge, just as Littlefinger suggested.

There are a couple indications that this cannibal pie plot may make it into Game of Thrones Season 5 on HBO.

Game of Thrones has definitely mentioned the Rat Cook before (it came up in the abandoned castle where Bran met Samwell Tarly in Game of Thrones Season 3).
Sansa is all gothed out.
Littlefinger has urged Sansa to take revenge for her family.
Sansa is going to hate Ramsey Bolton, because who wouldn’t.
In the Game of Thrones Season 5 episodes we see Ramsey Bolton’s female coterie. There are three women, for three pies.
The actor who plays Davos on Game of Thrones promised a shocking moment at the end of Game of Thrones Season 5. What better than Davos and Stannis kicking down the doors of Winterfell to find Sansa hosting a gory feast?

I've been hoping for a while that they don't totally do away with the serving of the pie, and I've thought that Sansa or Theon are the perfect two people to execute the pie serving (although it would be Bolton pie instead of Frey pie).

She just started an apprenticeship to become a faceless man, so I think she will be leaving in WoW but she is still in Bravos in ADwD

I thought it was pretty obvious that Lancel would rat her out, since he was fricking her.

I doubt the fems at HBO let the SS look impulsive and foolish. They made Cersei a lot more cunning than she was in the books, so I would be surprised.
