He was the one that actually gave the spiked wine to Robert that lead to his death (on Cersi's behest).

also I remember hearing that the last two seasons would have much more action due to the books they followed having more action. I heard that it slows down so maybe its best for you guys ripping it to stop now and start watching something else

I hear outlander is back on Starz

Exactly. I really have no idea where a lot of these stories might end up. I'm very intrigued.

This. Every episode can't end with the death of a major character.

Right, except this episode did end with the death of a major character, the "king beyond the wall" Mance Rayder.

The show is leaving the books behind.

This was a great set up show for the season. Lots of different story lines going on. I wonder where the missing dragon is going to show up at.

One thing I know is you don't bring back a character after three seasons of not even being mentioned if some serious shite was going down.

Lancel knows that he was a cat's paw in Robert's death. Just killing him off won't be enough. Maybe Jaime finds out about him being a stand in. I dunno.

What if he's some kind of warrior monk now?

Too many naked dudes. They need to realize that the vast majority of the viewers of this show are straight guys.

HBO is convinced 50% of the country is gay, and the other 50% are interested in watching gay sex.

I think some people forget that this board is made up of a lot of LSU fans, what else would you expect ?

I enjoyed the episode. Obviously meant to set up the season

I mean, you kind of answered yourself. Your contribution is "setup episode". Same response as a bunch of people. Not much actually happened, they checked in with a lot of characters. Nothing wrong with that, just not all that much to discuss, yet. There will be 30+ page threads this season that will make up for it.

Questions that I'm excited about being answered after last night:

1) Is Stannis tying to take the north now that Tywin is dead? What happens to the wildling army? What happens if the horde of White Walkers is seen. Does Stannis turn and attack the WWs?
2)Where is the Dragon? At what point does she let the other 2 go. And when is she going to get across the sea? From a Hodor the battle that has been setting up since season 1 is Dragons vs. White Walkers. I'm ready for that story line. Is Tyrian going to get that ball rolling?
3)Are Ariaya and Sansa ever going to reunite? Where are Littlefinger and Sansa going? Maybe Bravos?

Solid episode last night. Nothing great, but mostly solid. In a weird way, it felt weird to be watching new GoT episodes...it feels like it's been so fricking long since the last one.
quote:

1) Is Stannis tying to take the north now that Tywin is dead?

He will take it only on his way to King's Landing. K'sL/the iron throne is his main goal I believe.
quote:

What happens to the wildling army?

He will give them land in the north in exchange for fighting for/with him (at least that's what he said last night to Jon Snow).
quote:

What happens if the horde of White Walkers is seen. Does Stannis turn and attack the WWs?

No chance I don't think. IMO, the only thing you can face the WWs with is numbers, so he'd likely keep going south and warning people that the WWs are right behind them. WWs are the one thing that could potentially unite humans together (though it's doubtful that humans would do that willingly).

2)Where is the Dragon? At what point does she let the other 2 go. And when is she going to get across the sea? From a Hodor the battle that has been setting up since season 1 is Dragons vs. White Walkers. I'm ready for that story line. Is Tyrian going to get that ball rolling?

Nobody knows where Drogon is...so he's likely flying all around the world fricking shite up like the boss dragon that he is.

As for when she gets across the sea, I have a feeling we will be waiting FOREVER for that to happen. She's stuck in Mereen for now, and even said last season (I think) that she's good to rule over there for now. Plus, with Tyrion and Varys now travelling overseas to see her, that will only stall her storyline even more IMO. I really hope I'm wrong, but I'm not sure Tyrion will live much longer since he's no longer in K'sL and his father is dead. With all the shite going down lately, being a Lannister doesn't carry the same respect it used to and he will be a target (by someone other than his family members for a change).

My hope is that Tyrion bangs Daenerys and gets her mind right, and they have little dragon babies and rule the world. But sadly I don't see that coming to fruition.

Doubtful that they will unite, and I bet Arya ends up turning into some sort of face-changing badass like her buddy Jaqen.

I don't know if it's likely, but hopefully Hound isn't dead and he and Arya will reunite soon...I am gonna miss them on screen together a lot.

In fact, Arya is one that I really wanted to see last night and she wasn't on it at all I dno't think. So hopefully that means we get a large dose of her next week.

Was this answered last night? So Littlefinger lies about going to The Fingers (northeast of the Eyrie), and says that they are going west, so far that Cersei wouldn't even think to look (not sure of the actual line). Did I catch that correctly?
