Worst of the three premieres so far, but it can only really improve. Doesn't seem like really anything of importance happened besides in Davos' and Jon's plotline.

Was hoping for the dragon to do work this episode

That would have been way too fast really, I think they did a perfect job setting that up for next week or the week after.

where was the northmen slaughter at where rob and co were?

Harrenhall. They were slaughtered by the Brother hood (or by the Mountain's crew, I can't recall).

I get it's a warlock assassin. But it wasn't a little girl in the book, just a strange change.
Also wtf no strong Belwas

Was coming to post this exact same subject. Great way to reintroduce him to the show.

Absolutely agree. So many potential huge scenes they could have done and they didn't. Seems like a mid-season plot building episode. I am disappoint.

weasel soup was kind of needed for that to happen

Once Arya left last season we knew there would be no weasel soup. Sucks, but I get why they skipped it for TV.

this episode had to set up several key story lines and it did that. The unsullied story is huge and had to be set up early, Tywin and Tyrion needed to be mentioned to get moving. I thought they did a poor job with the Starks in the episode but did a good job with about everything else.

Yeah was pissed there was no Arya or Jamie. Ok opener. Next week looks titties. There is no reason for every episode to not be incredible these next two seasons.

It is a two season book and they still can't do it all. I was pleased with it. I really liked the Tywin/Tyrion scene, the Shae/Roz scene and Selmy's return. It is only going to get better.

We also have to remember that they have to cater to non-book readers as well, ones that need the "setup" more then we do.

If you come to accept that some things will be cut out due to budget (don't want to go the way of Rome), actor/actress commitments, and etc you'll enjoy it far more IMO.

I'm also glad they saved half the story lines for next episode instead of trying to crowd it all in.

Great scene of Tyrian and Tywin. That is about as good as I could and would hope for.

Yeah, it was the thing I missed most is those two bantering back and forth, and what I think will be so great in this season.
