That was pretty f'ed up.

That's actually one of my least favorite parts of the series. It just seems to convenient and too important to the plot to be explained away as easily as it was. Just my opinion.

there are 2 kinds of people, talkers and doers. Dany is the former.

Well she has pretty much destroyed the whole way society works across the narrow sea and has messed a lot of shite up. She is not just a talker

Are you serious? Destroy the whole way of society works? She barely step foot in any of the major free cities. Sure, she stole a bunch of slaves with the help of her dragons and top guys. But she has problems maintaining order at slaver's bay.

Unlike other characters, if you take her supporting cast, dany is incapable and not interesting. That to me is a litmus test for a character.

Shes already destroyed two major cities in Qarth and Astapor. I say that's a pretty huge impact

Just experienced the trial by combat between Prince Oberyn and the Mountain - I began to expect what was to happen; characters at times just will not shut up and finish the job at hand. Also, Ramsey is one sick SOB.

Anyway, the story is moving along a bit slower than it has in the past, but that is ok. Two more to go and I'm caught up. Thank the gods.

Yeah that trial by combat was so expected to end like that. I'll be honest..for a split second I figured the Mountain would lose. But when the Prince started taunting... I just shook my head

I agree, as soon as Prince O started running his mouth I got the feeling he was about to get fricked up.

Piss me off too cuz I thought the Imp was about to get it

It's not that he wanted to taunt the mountain. Oberyn just wanted a confession from Gregor so he can expose Tywin in front of everybody.

She didn't destroy Qarth. She just killed a couple wizards and raided one rich dude's palace. Now Astapor, she definitely torched that place.

I'm due for a rewatch but wish there was a more condensed way of doing it, but I know the details are part of the build up.

I had to watch it through. Death as always. Great battle scenes at the Wall - one was particularly good where an apparent single shot (I'm sure it it was cut/part CGI) captured several different scrimmages where the Night Watch and the Wildlings fought. The saviors of the Wall were unexpected - but I figured it was who it was before he was shown. The fight between the Hound (still around?) and Brienne of Tarth was awesome. Lastly, Tyrion's story is so heartbreaking to watch at times - but Peter Dinklage plays is outstandingly.

This is such a drawn out story - I just don't see an end in sight. There is so much going on . . . and 100s of ways this thing can splinter.

Great show - is now one of my all time favorites. I'm really looking forward to the new season.

And they left something out from the books in his farewell with Jaime that definitely should've been included.
