Today is their last day open
Cheap DVD's, Blu-Ray's, CD's, and T-Shirts

I just got back
Not much left but still worth looking

Going to miss this place

I've gotten some pretty cool stuff there. Figurines, key chains and t-shirts.

I thought this place had already shut down a long time ago. Do you think it would be worth it to try to stop by after work? How bare was it looking?

Movies - 3 aisles left (movies on both sides)
CD's - Didn't walk by. Looked like 4 aisles left
T-Shirts - I saw 5 small racks
Some small items left... keychains, pop figures, headphones, etc...

They have one in Lafayette that I legit don't know how it's still open. And they are in a prime position too, they are literally the first store on the left when you walk in the mall.

It's terrible

Stopped going to that place a long time ago when they had their new release movies listed as on sale for $25.

I wanted to go so bad as a kid but I wasn't tall enough yet, by the time I had grown enough to go it was defunct

I go back far enough that it was some CD/cassette store whose name I don't even remember anymore.

Bummer. I stayed away from there for awhile because new releases were just stupid expensive, and you could get CDs and DVDs cheaper at Best Buy.

I started going back over the last few years to browse and buy from the Used collection to fill in gaps in my library, and stumble across the occasional forgotten artist.

It's so much easier to buy online, but I'll still miss the record store experience.

And before it was Blockbuster, it was Sound Warehouse

This is what I went for as well
Cheap, used movies, ranging from $4 to $10.... and they always had a deal of buy 3, get 1 for $1

I went last month when the inventory started to thin out, and it kinda depressed me, so I haven't been back since.

The first CD I ever purchased was at that store: Tom Petty's Into the Great Wide Open. So for nostalgia's sake, I decided that my last CD purchase should also be a Tom Petty disc: the soundtrack to She's The One.

Thank fricking God. Mrs P blows money at this place about once a month and nearly gives me an aneurysm.

I keep telling her that we can get these movies cheaper on the internet but she "likes to own them". 999 out of a 1,000 times, she watches it once and puts it in the shelf for me to see and get angry at. fricking stupid whore. Glad that place is gone, probably not their fault, but frick them.

I stopped in a few times over the past couple of months. Really liked their used movie section. I'm not from Baton Rouge, so I didn't grow up going there or anything, but was still felt depressing going there. Lately have bought online mostly, so had forgot about going into the record store. Happened about the same time the record store back home I always went to closed down. Really going to miss that
