Futurama with the kid, what's an appropriate age? Random update

Watched the first run with the little man and it was awesome. All the sexual jokes were hidden under innuendo and the science stuff leads to cool conversation with the kid (comets and exploding suns and shite). But the later seasons get pretty explicit.
So I guess he shouldn't watch the movies and further til about thirteen or so? The second movie involves raping an entire dimension, why the sudden shift?

Any age if you want your kid to be awesome

Show it to him now. He won't get 1/5th the stuff but he will like the characters and animation. Show it to him 10 years from now and his mind will be blown.

He's old enough to ask questions about Brannigan and Lela banging on the garden of Eden planet, and robo sexuals. It just seems like the earlier episodes went over a kid's head but when they came back to comedy Central they just said "frick subtlety".
It's weird, just wondering if any other posters shared this awesome show with their kids.

How old is your kid? Mine is 9 and the wife has given Futurama a very adamant no so far. Is it time I overrule?

How old is he? Does he not know what gay people are? Or have you not had the sex talk with him yet?

Snu Snu is pretty explicit and that's Season 4.

He's eight, Mrs P was'nt familiar with it so I sold it on the science aspect. But I always watch it with him and we skip episodes a lot. Like frozen said, the snu snu episode was a quick pass with no explanation.

He's fricking eight, we've told him some dudes like dudes but we didn't go into graphic detail about it. Call me old fashioned, but I don't think a kid should know about butt sex until their tenth birthday.

Does he understand how Frye is his own Grandpa?

Skipped that one, obviously.

Skip Jurassic Bark too, the one about Frye's dog. The end had my 8 year old daughter bawling when Seymour died alone outside the pizza parlor waiting on Frye to come back.
