Fury is such an underrated movie

Watching it on the History Channel right now, one of my favorite war movies. The dialogue between the characters in the tank at the end is amazing.

Great movie for sure

Buddy of mine is a major in the army and said it's the best war movie he's seen.

Lol so? His movie opinion is suppose to mean something significant because he's a major in the army?
One of Shia's greatest performances btw

I'm not really a comic book movie guy -- some I enjoy, some just leave me cold, much like any genre -- but I was oddly disappointed to find out it wasn't about Nick and his Howling Commandos.

It could've been 20mins shorter, avoided the I Am Legend ending and still have had the most visceral tank scenes I've ever watched.
They used the only working Tiger in the world for this.

Very good movie, really love the chemistry of the cast. Shia Lebouf was outstanding.

This reminds me of Coming Home in a Body Bag...from True Romance.
But seriously, I like hearing stories about this.
I mean, we don't go to the movies for realism...but it's nice to hear from Vets about War movies. Adds context and a valuable perspective.

Agree. I loved it and don't understand why more people don't.

I'm going to say yes to that one since the guy may well have seen battle and studied battle strategy that few of us have insight to.
The movie was freaking intense.

Thought it was an awesome movie. I can't see how someone could not like it, unless you're the kind of person that just doesn't like war movies in general.

No doubt. But the end of the movie is pure fantasy, Hollywood at its best.

Shia deserved a best supporting nod for his role in this movie.

Agreed, great movie. I really like the scene with the two German girls. It's almost like they were taken out of the war for that little while. Well until the other tank crewmen showed up anyway..

I like just about everything he does but he is damaged goods
as far as awards go.

I think its the best war movie since SPR. The ending is a little too much. But I still loved it.

It's a great movie until the end. The absurdity gets unreal.
You're telling me that a battalion of highly elite Waffen SS troops is held at bay by a single Sherman that can't even move. They only shot 2 out of their 8 Panzerfausts I believe. Not to mention instead of completely enveloping the tank with their overwhelming numbers, they make lines of fire directly in front of the tank and fire small arms at it. It takes a sniper to creep up and shoot Pitt from the weeds for them to finally take the tank. The ending is stupid and almost ruins what up until that point, was an incredibly realistic depiction of tank warfare. I usually can look past stupidity like that, but it almost makes me mad how Ayers botched the ending.
