I don't guess I've seen the movie but I loved the book. I remember the book as darkly witty rather than laugh out loud funny but I'm gonna Netflix that one first chance I get. Ryan O'Neal, right?

I can never get enough of Bridesmaids. Especially the airplane scene.

Kristen Wiig is hilarious to me

Lots of great recommendations in this thread.

I really like "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me." Laughed til I cried.

girl: "Austin, do you smoke after sex."
Austin: "I don't know, I've never looked."

I never read the book, so I don't know how the dialog comes off there, but in the movie it is incredibly over the top. Also the actors are awful. It makes for a one of kind experience.

Dumb and dumber -the funniest start to finish
Blazing saddles - the opening half hour is the funniest ever imo
Borat - hilarious
Coming to America - funny and a good storyline
Airplane- the best one liners (and lots of them)
Superbad- situational comedy at its best
There's something about Mary - funny story with hilarious moments
MP Holy Frail - their best stuff...love it
Talladega nights- good stuff
Anchorman - more good stuff from Will Farrell
Napoleon Dynamite- it grew on me...and now I love it
Grandma's big-time excellent
Waterboy- My favorite Sandler flick

Lots of good ones mentioned here already but I'll give you ones I considered funny enough to buy. In no particular order but I'll start with the ones not already mentioned. I will also include the year made for the more obscure ones.

The In-Laws (1979)
Used Cars (1980)
Armed and Dangerous (1986)
The Hollywood Knights (1980)
Fear of A Black Hat (1993)
Stripes
Groundhog Day
Monty Python's The Meaning of Life
Back to School
Easy Money
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story
Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny
Tropic Thunder
The Other Guys
Super Troopers
The Simpsons Movie
Eurotrip
Dodgeball
Galaxy Quest

Already mentioned (just so you can see where my tastes lie)
Dumb and Dumber
Raising Arizona
This is Spinal Tap
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Blazing Saddles
Team America: World Police
The Big Lebowski
Oh Brother Where Art Thou?
Caddyshack
Animal House
Ghostbusters
Clerks

If I had to pick one? I don't know. Probably Raising Arizona, but I do love me some Galaxy Quest.

Also, I highly recommend you try those ones I described as obscure. I'd match them with anything listed so far.
