This show is so freaking underrated. I've seen more series than I can count and this one ranks up there with my favorite.

One of my favorite TV shows of all time. Hated when Lyla and the original crew didn't have a part anymore, especially for the season JD McCoy was apart of the show. Easily one of my most hated TV charectars of all time (what a puss). Liked how it ended though, but hated that it ended at the same time.

They lasted all the way through S3, so it's not like they had a short run. And Riggins, Tyra, Saracen, and Julie lasted the whole show if I remember correctly.
The new crew wasn't terrible, but I hated the whole East Dillon thing. Like any coach in the world could turn a non-existent program with no uniforms into a state champion in less than 2 years....IN TEXAS.

Coach Taylor: 2 state championships at 2 schools in Dillon, Texas; presumably a Pennsylvania state championship (because what 2-time TX state champion coach wouldn't dominate there?)

Great show! The wife and I actually named our daughter Lyla.
Also, Smash's mom was the most underrated character in the show. Made me tear up multiple times!

So rewatching and on season 2 now the only storyline that didn't fit was the murder. Everything else actually fit.
