It's a little over the top and silly, but then so are some of the best Superman/Supergirl comics.

The Department of Extra-Normal Operation? Really? Is a seven-yr-old writing the script.?

It's been a government org in DC comics for a while now.

I'm glad they are sticking with it. There is nothing more annoying than pointless minor changes in adaptations that only happen b/c some marketing exec wants everything to be easier to market.

I'm glad you brought the boom this time... I get so tired of doing it all the time sometimes

Here's a new promo. I like this one much better. I can't find it in HD, though. LINK

Wait, Hank Henshaw (Cyborg Superman) is the head of that agency in the show?

Also, one of the aliens on the monitor was light purple...Parasite?

Man, this woman sells the hell out of the trailer. I think that she could make me tear up with a critique of a Feminine Product commercial.

Looks wildly corny and infantile. Plus it's on CBS. But it's got a woman as the protagonist and by God we need that in America to teach girls how to be strong...

Hard pass.

One of the many things that I'm looking forward to on this show is that Berlanti hasn't been shy about bringing in other DC characters or dealing with time travel. And with Supergirl, we have a direct link to a set of superheroes that have been untouched by the Warner/DC films or the CW series. We could have some amazing appearances by the Legion of Superheroes.

Yep, it looks like a girl version of The Greatest American Hero.
