I just mean because one of you is defending the show and one of you is bashing it.
FWIW, I'm with you on the bashing side...I think it will suck, but I wasn't a huge fan of BMW anyway. shite, I had to google characters to make my comparison between ya'll because I couldn't name a bad guy from the show.

When I signed up for dawgdroppings years ago (when it still existed), Orko was on there (he used to be LSUTiggers on here, and then Orko, and now he's Wolf Shirt I think...anyway, he sucks), and I would frick with him on there. My name on dd was "NotCocomo" and my avatar was my animated blue fly with the red "NO" symbol like your picture.
And this was my sig pic:
Orko's (I forget his name on dd though) avatar was that white ninja GI Joe dude, so I made that sig pic in Paint. And that's sand coming out of his vagina.
Man, I was an a-hole to him ...but he deserved that shite back then.

Who wants to bet eventually one of the kids will be gay?

Riley and Auggie are their kid's names? Cory and Topanga need their asses kicked.

Don't forget the "other" bad guy Griff, who stepped in when Harley went away.
I heard he later went on to be the youngest mayor of some town and failed miserably.

I could list my issues with BMW in conclusive fashion and I won't. But I shall provide a preview.
1. WTF happened to the blond headed younger sister. If this show was written in any time-space reality, there'd have been a subplot of Cory's friend getting up in her sandwich meat by the college episode.
2, How Eric managed to get into college and maintain there for any sort of period is unrealistic. He was written as a straight man the first few seasons "Life's tough, get a helmet"...but then became some bumbling baffoon towards the end. It was too outlandish for his character's arc.
3. Shawn's family and character arc is a bit dramatized to where he bounces between redeemable and redeemed without one real discernible direction.
4. Cory's character is probably the most enjoyable on the show because in actuality, most teenagers are boring, dealing with boring melodramatic minor nonsense. Ben Savage did a great job of playing a boring middle class kid with good parental supervision.
5. Topanga's arc. They didn't really ever develop her family or her interests beyond "love foil" to Savage's character. Any problems or angst with Topanage was Savage centered- In school, she was a smart bright kid, but that was played out and the achievement factor in BMW overall was rarely emphasized. Think Minkus. School quit mattering the same time he left the show.
6. Weird bike riding, poetry spitting Enlgish Teacher. I've never known a male teacher like that in HS. He was supposed to be the younger version of Feeney that could connect with the kids. But instead, seemed like some perv that tried to teach life lessons to Shawn.
7. Mr. Feeney must have hated every other student in his 35 year career excapt Corey, Shawn and Topanga. Well, just Corey really because the rest wouldn't have mattered I imagine if they weren't somehow connected to Savage. He was a next door neighbor and somehow an extension of the family. Even though Corey's dad seemed to be less helpful that Feeney in giving him direction. I suppose the mother was just meant to be a really hot milf a 12 yr old could spank it to. If so, mission accomplished Mrs. Matthews.

It's not that I'm critiquing it more than just pointing out it's the product of nostalgia. It's a flawed show that really isn't funny.

Dude...it's a frickin TV show aimed at children and maaaaybe young teens. Of course it's not The Wire, it's not supposed to be. You can point out flaws with pretty much every movie ever made, doesn't mean they're less good.
There are counterpoints to probably all of your points as well.
