ANT-MAN is good. Not a disaster like some expected but also not a homerun. Has a *must see* after the end credits scene.

ANT-MAN is fantastic fun with heart, wildly clever set-pieces, and a scene-stealing Michael Pena. It's a movie I want to be friends with.

#ANTMAN is both fun and funny, and just a damn good time. As much as I love #PaulRudd, I have to say .@realmichaelpena steals the show.

Ant-Man is more methodical than most Marvel movies but it’s hilarious & a totally great ride. So many fun MCU links too. Another winner.

Jeremy Smith @mrbeaks
It takes ANT-MAN a moment to get cranked up, but once it does, it’s sensational. My favorite third-act of any Marvel movie.

quote:

Mike Sampson @mjsamps
Sadly ‘Ant-Man’ falls flat in almost every way. Doesn’t seem like it’s sure of what it wants to be. Not so much bad as it is blah.

quote:

Courtney Howard @Lulamaybelle
#AntMan: Mostly boring with lots of exposition, daddy issues and a splash of wit. Oh! And Paul Rudd's abs. #FemaleGaze

"Ant-Man" is hugely entertaining, and a truly significant puzzle piece in the Marvel Universe. This one's got a big sweet heart.

quote:

Edward Douglas @EDouglasWW
I liked Ant-Man more than I did Avengers: Age of Ultron, mainly because Marvel's doing something different and it works as a stand-alone

Ant Man is great. Way better than Age of Ultron. @edgarwright deserves co-director credit. Feels like his movie.

quote:

Jack Giroux @JackGi
Ant-Man isn't just great entertainment, it's also a great movie. Marvel's most human film to date. Fantastic.

Great actor. Always thought he would be strictly comedic, but the serious roles he has played have been very convincing.

He was real funny in Observe and Report. He's basically what I thought John Liguizamo would be

Those are some wildly disparate opinions.

This is a funny way to describe a movie:

Is that better or worse than a movie you'd have a beer with?

Only ones that seem to be completely off from the general consensus are Mike Sampson and Courtney Howard. I don't know who either of them are but I'll put my faith in the general thumbs up and Marvel's rep for putting out quality films as of late.

I agree.

Any spoilers on the post credit scene's? I heard a little about one but I heard they're both pretty big.

I had no idea Michael Pena was in this. Makes me even more pumped for it. Dude is a legit actor.

Mid credit scene and post credit scene. Read they're pretty huge.

I was personally on the fence, leaning toward seeing it, but I definitely will make the effort now, assuming the general consensus stays the same.

Ant-Man will be more liked than AoU on this board, especially since it's got much lower expectations and more likely, less studio interference-on the editing floor at least

I agree.

While I thing AoU was good, it will always be a struggle to accommodate so many characters in a single movie.
