His mean mug has the intimidation factor of a little boy in a pink dress angry at his mother for spilling his glitter.

Maybe, but honestly i cant agree with your assesment, because when you add in his mannerisms and delivery, you get the boringness of watching white paint drying on a white wall.

After Smallville, this guys should be the only Lex Luthor in any future movies. Loved his portrayal of Lex.

That is very true..in 2009, before a flight the ex SO and I were at the amc theater and wanting to kill some time. We decided on fricking adventureland...

Him and Kristen Stewart..that movie seemed three hours long.

Maybe I'm remembering this differently from some of you, but I always thought Lex Luthor used his brain more than his muscles, as a supervillain.

Why are so many of you overly concerned with how "tough" he looks?

All that matters is that he's a smart, ruthless and creative sociopath. I'm buying this guy as all of those.

Like I said in the other thread, I originally thought he would be a mistake for the role of Lex Luthor (mainly from a looks standpoint). But now after seeing that picture, I am a little intrigued at what he might portray. Like Fun Bunch said in the other thread:

quote:

I actually think his interpretation of Luthor will be money. I like Eisenberg, and I think he will be able to play a morally corrupt, sociopathic modern tech billionaire well...

I don't know if his portrayal will be money. But I do think he can pull off a morally corrupt, sociopathic modern tech billionaire. And in that picture, he does have that sociopath look going (maybe even a psychopath look going there).

And it doesn't matter how "muscled up" he is. Lex was never close top being as strong as Superman.

imho he doesn't have to be strong or anything like that, but Eisenburg just doesn't read Luthor to me. if i am wrong, i will gladly own my mistake - but i just don't know if he brings that "vibe" to the film.

I was disappointed when I heard Eisenberg was the guy.

Now that I see the look, I am intrigued. He pulls it off in this pic.

ETA: It looks like he's wearing a convict's uniform in the pic. Shouldn't he be in a suit?

Isn't Lex supposed to be more of a nerdy brainiac type??? If so, then how is this not the perfect casting....

Well, unless we were talking Michael Cera!

I'm intrigued. He looks cold, full of contempt and tough. The fact he's wearing a prison uniform helps.

oh god, I hated that casting after having Liam Neeson dominate Batman Begins.
