They have announced several release dates... then failed to meet them.

Waiting over a year for 7 episodes to wait a year and a half for 6 episodes. 
But ultimately, I'd rather they wait and do it as well as possible than have gotten 13 rushed episodes this year.

Also, any prequel spin off won't be for a while after that, it seems. I'm okay with that, though.
