Hard to pick a fav but one that really stands out in my mind is when Homer gets his hands on a motorcycle and starts a biker club with Flanders, Carl, and Lenny- Hell Satans I believe they were called

Episode 24: Lemon of Troy - the kids all travel to Shelbyville to steal back the lemon tree. It's the perfect Simpsons episode, solid gold from beginning to end. Too many great lines to list

This.

Other contenders:

Homer v 18th Amendment (Beer Baron)
Marge v Monorail
Twisted World of Marge Simpson
Lisa the Greek
War of the Simpsons (Gin and Self Defeat/Queen of the Harpies bit is my favorite in the entire series)

I've noticed at least three Season 4 episodes listed so far.

That was exactly what I was thinking when I posted it. The two Milhouses. But the one my brother always quotes is that gay song Martin sings when Nelson rescues him. "Hark to the tale of Nelson...."

The X-Files one was pretty good, too.

I agree with many on the list. The one that instantly comes to mind that I don't see are A Star is Burns with the film festival

quote:

Mr. Burns: Pish posh! Listen, Spielbergo, Schindler and I are like peas in a pod! We're both factory owners, we both made shells for the Nazis, but mine worked, damn it!

And I Love Lisa with Ralph Wiggum's tour de force as George Washington.

Ralph Wiggum may be the most underrated character on the show "Hello Lisa, Hello Super Nintendo Chalmers, I'm learnding"

ETA- The show may have died when Phil Hartman passed and thus Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure went away

Had to add this one: The Monorail one.

I was working at Disney at the time and I could never keep a straight face when I even saw the monorail after watching it.

The part with Leonard Nimoy at the end still cracks me up:

"A lunar eclipse. The cosmic ballet lives on...."

Uhhhhhh, does anyone want to switch seats?

Treehouse of Horrors weren't my favorite, but probably my favorite exchange was on one of them:
