The Big Easy or Easy Rider or The Cincinnati Kid?

Blaze does not count because I know all the extras in the movie IRL and they suck.

It's hard for me to get into movies set in New Orleans, particularly with the way Parade season is portrayed, or accents.

It irks me when I watch Blue Chips with Nick Nolte, and he's supposed to go to Algiers to watch Shaq's character play. He ends up taking a skiff to the bayou, and hopping out in the tall weeds where a rustic wooden Algiers sign is.

This film was directed by Elia Kazan a year before he made A Streetcar Named Desire, and was shot entirely on location in NO.

It gives a rare and fascinating picture of the city in 1950, including scenes of bars, restaurants and an exciting climax shot in the docks area.

Benjamin Button or Interview With a Vampire

Runaway Jury was ok but i think they are guilty of severely over-doing the Southern NOLA accent

Deja Vu had an interesting premise in terms of Sci-Fi but i think they didnt pull it off very well

the Judd gal made one a while back - Double Jeopardy. It was ok.

drawing a blank for others right now

This...and it's also why I stopped watching that shitty HBO True Blood half way through the first episode.

I did like the extra strength rim Shaq was dunking on, though.

I laugh my arse off at this every time. I swear they went to some Vietnam jungle to film that scene because I'm pretty sure I've seen it in some old war movie. Absolutely one of the most ridiculous scenes in movie history.

this happens in every city though... you are just aware of it because you are familiar with NOLA.

Im pretty familiar with Los Angeles. I cant tell you how many times you see something goofy like a scene shot at the walt disney concert hall, then they run and turn a corner and they are on Venice Beach

Or they are at the Guggenheim in NYC and run and turn the corner and they are at Ground Zero

happens everywhere
