Planning to binge watch the first season of one these tonight- I know TD is only like 8 EPs, not sure on Fargo. Which should be the priority?

Each season of Fargo is better than TD S1. By a decent margin too. S2 of TD is awful.

Don't listen to TD haters they are just mad about the ending.
TD season 1 is better than Fargo season 1. Having said that, they are both great.
I couldn't get through season 2 TD.
Heck, I just did a TD1 rewatch Friday - Saturday

True Detective S1, if for no other reason than to watch a masterful 6-minute single-take shot in episode 4...might be one of the best TV scenes of any show, and I'm not exaggerating.
After that, Fargo S1 & S2 aren't quite on the level of True Detective S1, but it's pretty damn close.
True Detective S2 is a major disappointment, and you won't be missing out if you just skip it altogether.
