It’s official: The sci-fi action-comedy Fallout will return for a second season.

Prime Video renewed the series based on the popular Bethesda Softworks game franchise and adapated by showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner and produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. The show has given the streamer a welcome buzzy boost, premiering to some of Prime Video’s best reviews ever, averaging a 94 percent average positive critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. The streamer also says the show is among its top three titles to date (though per usual, it didn’t back that up with any hard data).

For those of you who haven't watched it yet you should check it out, it's a fun post apocalyptic show, and you don't need to know anything about the game to enjoy it.

It was all a simulation inside of a RobCo bot. /s

But really, they better not get too clever for anyone's own good and mess it up like Westworld.

You must not do a lot of shopping with Amazon. Prime Video is the least of the fringe benefits.

I wonder if not ever playing the game is a benefit? I never played it, and really enjoyed how I couldn't anticipate what was going to happen next, except whatever was going to happen was going to be pretty cool and usually totally unexpected. For those who have played the game, I suppose it was still really great anticipating what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the twisted plot.

I played through several of the Fallout games with New Vegas being my favorite.

For me the game was never about the story or any characters. It was about the environment - exploring whatever the world had to offer.

The movie had the same appeal. They captured the environment extremely well. But as far as I’m concerned, they can plug in new characters while killing off old ones for as many seasons as they can keep the production team together.

Prime video has some good shows and movies and the monthly price is comparable to Netflix and other streaming services and that’s not even counting the benefits of a prime membership.

Loved the show. Acting was pretty good. Maximus seemed a bit off but he is supposed to represent the moral ambiguity of the average Fallout player. The story was tight with only a few plot holes.

Favorite game ever other than maybe Skyrim.

Show is just awesome. I dont know how they nailed the feel of the game so well. Even the set pieces look absolutely identical.

For some reason one of my favorite things is they took so much pride in how they emphasize gameplay elements like rad sickness, the use of stimpaks, and even Titus losing his fusion core.

I really enjoyed first season and why people are complaining about the female lead is beyond me. Its not like she is Kicking arse and showing her girl power in all her scenes like so many movies these days. I like what they have done with this character so far. Now all that could change in the next season.
