Just caught an early morning showing and it was fantastic. It's going to be hard to top this one for my favorite movie of the year.

Tread further at your own risk

Anyone make this SPOILER thread so we can talk about the ending?

Had a staff screening of it last night, but I couldn't go. I'll go check it out on day next week.

I agree, lets make this the spoiler thread. There's already another one that we were posting in last night with no spoilers

About to go watch this by myself... Buddies and gals are all into comedies and comic book movies only. Sigh. Worth it to go solo?

I went solo. None of my friends would enjoy a slow burn, deep thinking sci fi film.

Me and Pirate King were both there solo in the same theater haha. Couple of losers we are.

But I actually like watching movies alone sometimes. ESPECIALLY one like this.

Been looking forward to this movie for a while.

However, the trailers showed people running around in a laboratory and I got The Signal flashbacks. Obviously still going to watch.

That's all the affirmation I needed. I'm so starved for good scifi movies. Edge of Tomorrow helped sedate it but it also fired it up

I went and saw 12 years a slave alone too. Was a great choice. It's much easier to think and enjoy when you're not worried about another person.

OK, spoiler warning is up, so here it goes....

At the end of the movie, do you think Eve is truly evil, and is on a personal mission to kill all humans OR do you view her sympathetically, and that she murders Caleb because he was every bit as awful as Nathan, treating her like a science project not a person?

Remember, the camera cuts so you do not see his answer to her question of whether he wants to be with her, and additionally, she can detect if he was lying.

Do you view her as a monster about to wreak havoc or as a victim who escaped her prison?

Definitely victim. She is an intelligent being that wants to explore the world. Caleb was just a tool she utilized to do that.

Did anybody think her robot body was sexier than her real human body?

Also, by leaving the prison, she has no power source. Her decision to leave is also one that dooms her. She goes to the intersection, watches people, and then dies, never to awaken again.

Unless someone is going to plug back in the murder robot.

She didn't murder Caleb. Just locked him in. I guess he'd starve eventually...I didn't view her as evil. Her thinking was just very definite and systematic...like a machine, not a human.

She wants to escape and see the outside world and the only way to get that is to manipulate Caleb and Nathan against each other. She didn't have emotion or morality
