Anyone see this movie? My son is currently reading the book and loves it. I told him there was a movie version made but I seem to remember it being not that great. He still wants to see it after finishing the first book. TIA.

Movie was good but not great. Kind of on par with the Percy movies. The main character hasn't been heard from since I don't think.

Ok he should like it then. He read the entire Percy series and likes the two movies made. I recently watched Max Steel with both my boys who love the cartoon. They hated the movie. I had to agree, it was terrible.

If he is between 10 and 15 then he will love it. Watch it with him. Will be a good clean movie to spend time with your son.

I read the book, which was great, and saw the movie. The movie changes the book a bit so I didn't like that (but what movie doesn't?). He's a kid and a big fan, so he'll like the movie for sure. However, the movie probably has bad reviews from an adult standpoint (16% on rotten tomatoes)

Terrible books and an even worse movie. It's total trash. Not bad for a 15 year old, but trash for the average author.

I read the books also. I wish they would have made the rest into movies.

Books were fun until the end. The movie was quite possibly the worst adaptation I've ever seen. It wasn't just bad because it wasn't true to the book, it was bad because it was such an awful movie.
