Why is Arliss like the only HBO series that isn't available on HBOGo?

Because it's universally despised by pretty much everyone

Or so I've heard on here

My gut tells me that its gonna be pretty bad, but I'll be looking out for the reviews. It is HBO after all, so it could be good.

HBO has a solid looking summer lineup between this, The brink, and true detective

Feel like there's one more that i can't remember right now

It looks pretty good. I think you could do a lot with a Playmakers type show, especially if you don't have to worry about pissing off the NFL and you get some decent writers and actors.

Good to see Dwayne Johnson crawling out of the mothballs. I've wondered what happened to that guy. At least he's still getting work.

This may be a problem as the NFL is already unhappy that they are using team names and logos without permission. Oops. NFL = No Fun League

I think the Fair Use act is a lot more lenient these days than in the Playmakers days

So they should be good to go

I don't have a problem with using fake teams/logos/calling it something other than the NFL. Shoot, it's a TV show, not a documentary. As long as you don't have oddball teams and uniforms like in that Oliver Stone movie

I think that if the source material is good and based on real life, then this show could be really good.
