she is amazingly talented soulful singer/songwriter + enjoy her UKE playin 12-year old skills. very inspiring stuff seeing her perform

Yes. The biggest issue is the professionals (most from overseas) using the show as a platform to reach an American audience. It used to be undiscovered American acts looking for a break. A guy like Paul Zerdin had absolutely no business winning the show.
It's one of the few shows I watch every episode of these days.
Another huge issue is they make everything a frickin' sob story. That mediocre high school choir got to the final 24 because they are from the Southside of Chicago.

I think Howard Stern just had enough of the show. He gave it an honest run, but I think he felt like a total sellout each second he was on it. Seeing him hugging kids and stuff was just awkward.
