Nurse Jackie

Series just ended after about 6 years. 30 minute episodes, which I like.

I was not wild about it at first, but it got very good in later years.

I love the history of that era so I like it. The show isn't historically perfect but it's surprisingly close for the most part, aside from a few things I can look past. But yeah it's subdued compared to Game of Thrones et al

I just hated the main character.

And every character really. No development. Just people whining and screaming about uninteresting things

I think Episodes is the funniest show on TV that nobody seems to talk about.

Agree. I mentioned it earlier in this thread and probably at least once a season since it's been on, but no one cares.

Showtime has great shows, problem is they all suck arse after season 3 and then they make 2-3 more. It's like they just quit writing or something.

I liked Shameless, Weeds, Dexter, Homeland, Californication at first but its all the same. I'm sure the affair will be no different.

Ray Donovan just sucks, stopped after 2 episodes. Showtime is just too wannabe HBO, always feels like the B team to me.

You should give Penny Dreadful a try. It's not near the constant gore of Dexter. It has a costume drama, "book" horror and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen all wrapped up in one show.

Plus Eva Green is amazing.

Homeland is my 2nd fave.
