Djimon Hounsou is set to join the cast of Universal’s “Fast & Furious 7.”

The cast already includes Ronda Rousey, Kurt Russell and Jason Statham.

Most of the franchise’s top talent are returning for “Fast & Furious 7,? including Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, producer Neal H. Moritz and writer Chris Morgan, with James Wan directing.

Moritz and Diesel return as producers.

No plot details have been unveiled yet, except that the film will return to Los Angeles after the previous six films were set in other locations. Co-president of production Jeff Kirschenbaum and creative executive Jay Polidoro will oversee the project.

This May’s “Fast & Furious 6? was the highest-grossing pic in the series, with $788 million worldwide.

Variety.

I thought the last two movies were the best in the franchise, and I'm actually looking really forward to this one. Great cast additions with Hounsou, Russell, and Statham. Hope The Rock's able to come back.

James Wan (Insidious 1/2, Saw, The Conjuring) is taking over director duties this time. It'll be his first film of the franchise.

The ending with Statham was bad-arse.

I kept wondering when Tokyo Drift took place.

I haven't seen any since the 2nd one, but I really want them to get to 10 of these because that would just be ridiculous, and beat Star Wars.

James Bond doesn't count for me, as those rarely if ever, continue a storyline.

During the offseason I am going to watch everyone of them over a weekend.

Including Tokyo Drift.

Fast Five was good stuff, still haven't gotten around to 6 yet.

Also they should throw in Burt Reynolds and the Bandit.

Lucas Black, the sole remaining star from the original trilogy of Fast and Furious movies yet to grace the world with a return appearance in the revived powerhouse franchise, is preparing to right that wrong.

Deadline reports that Black will reprise his role from the third film, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, in Fast & Furious 7. Fans of the series, of course, know why it makes sense for Black's character Sean Boswell to return now. And indeed, it sounds like he's signed a deal that will allow for his character to become a regular in the series. "He will be part of at least the next three installments," the site reports.

Return to Los Angeles? Wasn't this suppose to take place in Tokyo to explain some of the stuff from Tokyo Drift? The ending of the last one made it seem so.

It'll . Probably "return" to L.A. and begin in Tokyo.
