Assumed they were releasing them for sale, not a theater rerun.

Not in decent quality.

Whenever Lucas offered a touched up version to meet the resolution standards of the time, he also added changes.

At best you have some VHS's from back in the day that have been digitized, but the source material would leave a lot to be desired.

Yeah, I know about it. But there are limits as to what they can do. There are scenes that get omitted/left as is.

And it's why it's possible they will release the theatrical editions: demand is that high.

Interesting how since Disney got a hold of the franchise things are actually being done right. Reckon they took away Lucas's keys to the car?
