This is why TV/NETFLIX has overtaken the Movie experience with shows like Breaking Bad, GoT, House of Cards, Walking Dead, etc...

What's unique about women conning men out of their money by pretending to be romantically interested? Are they going to steal the name from another movie they'll probably at some point remake and call it Life?

Maybe they'll throw a splash of newness into it and have them conning a wealthy lesbian.

I don't understand what a gender reversal accomplishes in the scheme of this movie. I mean - SPOILER ALERT - the woman got one over on both con-men in the original movie. It actually had a bit of a female power element even though the two males drove the comedy/action. Is the tech guy going to fool the two women in this one?

I'd rather a straight sequel 25 years after the original. See what those three are up to now. At least that would be funny. Rebel Wilson is best in small doses, and I don't see how her schtick works to be (I'm guessing) the Martin character.

I can see it now. Jaws with an all female cast

Next version of Jaws will be a female shark. It won't physically attack, it'll just distribute leaflets calling the men drinking on boats losers and so on.

Yes, but I say keep doing it. Keep going out of your way to please SJW, only to watch your films fail. Once a few of these films fail hard, it'll stop. Go look at the box office for Ghostbusters if you need a laugh.

The great irony is a true remake would absolutely horrify and enrage a SJW audience. To see the male (originally female) character stone cold bamboozle the female (originally male) central characters would be interpreted as a commentary on the superior nature of men.

I was just thinking that.

SPOILERS

Yeah I don't see how the plot is going to work. Are the two female leads going to have the bet about seducing the female mark?

After the magnificent failure of Ghostbusters, why would they still think this is a good idea?

Ghostbusters Remake Now Officially Not a Flop

Never seen a film where so many people had so much invested in a film's box office success

Interesting...

So, by this calculus, John Carter wasn't a flop, nor was Battleship.

Got it.
