I've also been to Phil's BBQ in San Diego. Delicious.

Most of the places he's been to in Memphis are pretty damn good.

Rendezvous: probably the best known place he went to, but honestly probably the worst of them all.
Toms BBQ: really really good bbq. Makes some really good rib tips. Original owner was Greek and the bbq is seasoned accordingly. Adds a different flavor that is really really good.
Gus's Fried Chicken: best fried chicken I've ever had.

At this point, I bet he feels like he has to keep that look, since it his thing. If he didn't bleach and spike his hair, and shaved that hideious excuse of a circle beard off his fat face, he'd probably not be a recognizable host and wouldn't get the work.

Guy looks like a tool, but he does a good job hosting the show. If he didn't say shite like "that's capital T tender," and "that's takin me to flavor town," I don't think people would find him as annoying. But really, you can only say something's good so many times on so many shows before you run out of things to say that sound original. I like him most when you can really tell he likes something, or really appreciates the care that people put into making something. I hate it when he acts like a bitch if gets some flour on one of his thousand bowling shirts.

I've been to Louie and the Red Headed Lady, Surrey's, Parasol's, The Red Lion Pub, and Kenny and Ziggy's Deli.

He does look like a douche, but it's part of his image now and he can't change it.

Regardless of whether you like the guy or not, he knows his food. And he does a great job hosting the show.

I have been to The Red Iguana, Ruth's Diner, and The Blue Plate Diner all in Salt Lake City (Parents live in Park City). Wasn't too fond of The Red Iguana as I have had better Mexican food in Texas but both the diners were very good. The Blue Plate Diner had amazing breakfast all day which was sweet and Ruth's had really good meatloaf. And yes Guy is a douche but at least he makes it entertaining most of the time. I have seen shows like that with a less interesting host and it wasn't very fun to watch.

The guy does look like a douche, but he seems like an alright guy, even though I'm pretty certain he's worn a button up shirt with a dragon on it at some point in his life.
