Did I Miss Something On Matt Rife?

This guy announcing a comedy world tour has him blowing up all over social media especially with the ladies. Females I never even knew were into standup are going crazy about getting tickets, guess he makes their ginnies tingle like a comedic Morgan Wallen. Has he been big for awhile? I don’t remember ever seeing him being mentioned on TD which is where I normally find out about new stand up to check out or any of his bits coming on the comedy channels on SXM. Anyone familiar with his material?

Apparently, he's some TikTok comic who is not politically correct. Had someone in the office yesterday getting tickets for his NOLA shows. They both sold out in five minutes.

Mrs. Vox has been following him for a while. He's pretty funny, but the bulk of his material is from the perspective of a white guy in the midst of a racial crisis.

He's pretty funny, and definitely quick on his feet. He does a lot of improv and audience interaction stuff, which definitely gets politically incorrect.
He definitely promotes the hell out of himself of FB & IG... and I assume Tik Tok as well.

He's all over tiktok for sure.
Tbh, I can't really tell you any solid bits that he's done as all of his clips are mostly him engaging in crowd work.
He's entertaining. The women love him because he's a younger attractive dude.
I wouldn't buy tickets to see him.

I've been wondering the same thing. Looks like he blew up on social media posting crowd work clips. A lot of comics have been doing this the last few years, and it works. Looks like has two specials for free on youtube. Watch them and report back.

i kept getting suggested posts from him on IG so i finally gave in and watched some clips. he's pretty funny, so i gave him a follow. he definitely did blow up out of nowhere, and he needs to give his marketing team a raise (if he has one), because whatever they did worked. but he is legit pretty funny.

His standup sets (from the two specials I watched) are pretty ho-hum. Nothing particularly amazing but not bad per se. He also ended one of his sets with one of those faux serious monologues that are more about making a social point than making anyone laugh. Not my cup of tea.
His crowd work, however, is very good to great. That's where he shines.

Facts. I assume he has paid a lot for sponsored clips on all the socials, but I see other comics doing the same that aren't even remotely funny.
