I'm excited. If done right this is a great premise. I liked the frasier original but it was kind of childish.

Cruise can do well. He's one of my favorites, although he is a nut

Does this mean Mummy and Mr Hyde are gonna fight? Sounds kinda dumb.

Its supposed to be the start of a Universal monsters shared universe.

I thought Dracula Untold was the first in the monster universe?

*edit* saw brosef's post

though I'm not sure you can exactly call $217m on a $70m budget a bomb. It's certainly not what they hoped for and most of that was from the foreign take but it should have at least broken even once the splits w/theaters and advertising was factored in.

Was the wolf man with benecio del toro part of this universe? I know it wasn't well regarded but it was way better than van helsing and I thought the wolfman cgi was pretty damn cool.

If there's one thing I can really excited about it's a remake of a mediocre movie that's already had about ten sequels. Good lord. Really?

For the record, I like Cruise a lot as an actor but I'm just not feeling him with this.

Dracula Untold was supposed to be the start of it but that bombed so Universal changed their mind.

Underrated movie. Great ending. Left me wanting a sequel.
