Agreed, but I'm glad they didn't drag out Deb finding out the truth either. They already did that when she saw his shadow a couple seasons ago.
I think the bath of blood is a dream, but you never know.
I could have sworn she said "the" serial killer. I'm glad y'all were able to clarify for me.

great episode. I don't get the Quinn hate. He is solid and very believable, IMO.
Theory 1. LaGuerta is the shadiest of all characters not named Dexter. She will end up trying to bring Dexter down and name Deb as an accomplice. So, Deb will be forced to stay on Dexter's side. Deb helps get Dexter out of the country.
Theory 2. The intern obviously knows about Dexter. I am not sure why he cancelled the CC's. That made no sense. The intern is infatuated with him but cares nothing for crime fighting as we saw in previous episodes. He just wants to be close to Dex. So, does he end up taking the fall for Dexter? it's possible. They REALLY stressed the fact that he was on Dex's side of the apartment. It was mentioned several times. He also has his computer game and his extensive research to make him a suspect. Deb could totally frame him if wanted.
3. Don't forget what was in the previews. You saw the Ukraininan mobster shooting someone, a new blonde girl stalking dexter, and someone in a bathtub. She might be one of dexter or the trinity killer's victims wife/child. Dexter is banging her and she m90's him, puts him in a bathtub, and the show ends.

It looked like it was Deb in the bathtub. Who knows. This season is going to give me a heart attack with all this shite. As long as they get back to Dexter just killi g to a of people, I don't care.
I do think Dex may get the intern framed as the "new bay harbor butcher" or at least somebody trying to emulate it. I thought Dex would have been more curious about his computer. If that happened to me, I would have opened up the computer immediately. Who knows if he had time to close it out.
Also, definitely closed the CC's to constrain Dex's ability to run.

What was the point of showing Dexter's cards getting declined at the pump and him basically just acting indifferent and using cash?
This was obviously as he was on his way to do his kill.

I don't think he has really had time to consider the reason why all of his cards declined. He's got bigger fish to fry right now.

Dexter has the prosthetic hand that Louis sent to him. Masuka knows how it went missing from the evidence room so I could easily see a scenario where Louis is framed as a Bay Harbor Butcher copycat killer with the former intern chick as his accomplice to throw Laguerta off Dexter's trail.

Really glad they decided to let Deb find out and not have an entire season of her tippy toe-ing around the truth, I think that would have been the worst.
From the previews, we have stalker intern, random blonde, and ukrainian overlord in the future.
Not to mention LaGuerta and Deb who will both be as annoying as ever.

I really hope it doesn't turn cheesy. Half the draw to Dexter is that he's got this big secret. Now his sister is telling him "come live with me so you don't kill anyone"? Mehhhh .... I don't know.

That was my first assumption after watching it the other night. The whole reveal just took my be surprise.
But the previews following infer that it wasn't a dream when he is admitting to Deb about the code and everything.
Looks to be a very promising season
